🗣Contract Conversations: Strike Authorization Vote Info Session #3- Thursday, September 29th, 7:30pm – 8:30pm🗣

Please join us for the third of five Contract Conversations: Strike Authorization Vote Info Sessions taking place via Zoom this Thursday, September 29th from 7:30pm – 8:30pm.  Zoom link.

Contract Conversations meetings are an opportunity for adjuncts to discuss important issues in our contract.  These meetings are also a place to build community, share experiences, and learn more about how you can become involved with the union’s fight for a better contract.  This year as we bargain our new contract, they are especially vital forums from hearing from members.

Bargaining and Organizing Committee members will be in attendance to explain and answer questions about the strike authorization vote which opens Monday, September 26th and closes Friday, October 7th.  This does not mean we will strike.  We will bring the issue to you, the membership, to show support.  A yes vote will authorize us to set a date for a strike.  We hope a strike will not be necessary, but NYU’s refusal to engage with us in a meaningful way has forced us to take this step.  Your participation in this vote is crucial to our success at the bargaining table, so please make every effort to attend one of these info sessions.

We have planned two more sessions in order to accommodate your busy schedules as best as possible:

Contract Conversations: Strike Authorization Vote Info Session #4, Monday, October 3, 1:00pm – 2:30pm, Zoom link.

Contract Conversations: Strike Authorization Vote Info Session #5, Thursday, October 6th, 6:00pm – 7:30pm, Zoom link.

We look forward to seeing you Thursday.

In solidarity,
Cate Fallon & Monica Panzarino
